Hi, I have been working in as a dentist in New Zealand since 2013.

I aim to put my patients at ease and help them relax during their treatment. I strive to make their time with me as gentle as possible and anxiety free.

My philosophy is to provide comprehensive, compassionate and gentle care.

I am passionate and dedicated to provide the highest quality of care to my patients and provide full range of dental services with emphasis on restorative and cosmetic dentistry, crown and bridge and oral surgery

When I am not in office I enjoy spending time with my husband and children.

In free time I enjoy cooking and get involved in kid’s activities.

Dr. Deepak strongly believes that he treats people, not just teeth. He has a practice philosophy that focuses on ensuring his patients experience quality care, compassion, and comfort. He offers a practice devoted to comprehensive dentistry and puts an emphasis on sound preventative dentistry. He has a special affinity with Endodontics, which is the science of root canal treatment. You will treasure the peace of mind that comes from a quickly developed sense of trust and confidence in Dr. Deepak and his team.

He  is committed to building a long-term, trusting relationship with his patients and is very thorough with his approach and will tailor your treatment to best suit your individual needs and goals.

Outside office he loves spending time with family , travelling and playing lawn tennis and cricket.

I graduated from the University of Otago in 2016. Prior to that I qualified as a dentist in Sri Lanka and practised there for a few years before migrating to New Zealand.

I like the nature and the scope of general dental practice. I do my best to ensure that my patients are relaxed and comfortable in the dental chair. I commit hard to make dental visits are a pleasant experience for my patients. I have a wide range of experience in performing general & surgical extractions, restorations and endodontic treatment.

In my leisure time I spent time with my family and listen to music, I assist my son with cricket coaching during weekends. I actively involved in bringing the Rotorua Sri Lankan community together.

Dr Shash Patel was born in the UK and grew up in NZ,where he did his schooling in Auckland and then went to the University of Otago to complete his training to become a Dental Surgeon.

He is the founder of Absolute Dental and has been passionate about developing Dental clinics that are family friendly. His motto has always been that “all patients should be treated as family”

Dr Patel literally loves putting a smile on peoples faces. He is passionate about restoring a wonderful smile and spends a great deal of his time creating beautiful smile make overs.

He is married to Achla who is a registered nurse and they have three beautiful daughters, Shivani, Priya and Nishali. In his spare time, Dr Patel does a lot of voluntary work including; being a trustee on the board of trustees for John Paul College, President of the Bay Of Plenty Indian Association, a Justice of the Peace and other voluntary activities.

Dentistry for Dr Patel has to be fun and enjoyable for him and his patients.
