Hey there, I’m Rajpal (Raj) and am one of the dentists working at Absolute Dental Tokoroa. I was born and raised in Malaysia but moved to New Zealand to study dentistry at Otago. I graduated in 2017 and have been working In Tokoroa ever since. I enjoy most aspects of general dentistry, and have particular interests in oral surgery and restorative dentistry. In my spare time you’d probably catch me watching a television series or a sports programme.

Hi, my name is Thumb. I graduated from the University of Otago with a degree of Bachelor of Oral Health. I specialize in dental treatment for patients under 18 years old as well as dental hygiene treatments for adults.

During hygiene visits, I encourage patients to ask as many questions as possible. This allows me to personalize treatment and enable patients to be involved in their treatment.

Coming from Taiwan, I am fluent in both English and Mandarin.

Dr Shash Patel was born in the UK and grew up in NZ,where he did his schooling in Auckland and then went to the University of Otago to complete his training to become a Dental Surgeon.

He is the founder of Absolute Dental and has been passionate about developing Dental clinics that are family friendly. His motto has always been that “all patients should be treated as family”

Dr Patel literally loves putting a smile on peoples faces. He is passionate about restoring a wonderful smile and spends a great deal of his time creating beautiful smile make overs.

He is married to Achla who is a registered nurse and they have three beautiful daughters, Shivani, Priya and Nishali. In his spare time, Dr Patel does a lot of voluntary work including; being a trustee on the board of trustees for John Paul College, President of the Bay Of Plenty Indian Association, a Justice of the Peace and other voluntary activities.

Dentistry for Dr Patel has to be fun and enjoyable for him and his patients.
